An Aruba Vacation Will Take you Far, Far Away

Aruba has found its way into the vacation mainstream thanks to its beach tune-worthy name, stunning scenery, and approachable yet far-flung identity. You may not know exactly where it is, but if you're a clever trip planner, you soon will. For all that a Caribbean beach getaway should be, consider Aruba as the focus of your next trip.

It's closer to South America than Florida, and definitely feels different than the average tropical island. Instead of crowds of college students and overrun hotels, you'll find room to breathe and a decidedly different flair. All the usual activities are available, like swimming, snorkeling, and lounging on the beach, but a few new twists are added to the mix here in Aruba.

For one, the history of the isle is characterized by cultural diversity and constant flux. Gold and aloe industries plus an ever-revolving cast of characters means a population that is comparable to none other. Indian, European and African roots make for a vibe that is unconventional and unpredictable yet welcoming and friendly; you'll experience nothing like Arubans anywhere else. Take pleasure in the fact that less than twenty miles off the coast of Venezuela is an exciting destination that will be different than all the others you've so far visited.

You'll certainly want to take advantage of the sunshine and the trade winds, so bring plenty of sunscreen and your favorite swimsuit and prepare to make these your primary accessories. From up and coming sports like kite surfing to old favorites like wave running, you'll find yourself spending lots of time out on the water. Each individual hobby can be satisfied here, so surfers, divers, and deep-sea fishers will all find themselves living the good life as they forget about the drone and drain of modern life.

Aruba's terrain, like most other things about it, is a singular sight to see. Craggy cliffs, interesting rock formations, rough trails and cactus-lined bike paths are all perfect for exploring by foot, horseback, ATV or bicycle. Reclaim your adventurous side and make the outdoors your playground. After spending the bulk of your time sitting in an office chair or planning for the next conference call, feeling the wind in your hair and the salty ocean spray tickle your face will be heavenly.

Archeology museums, old gold mills, magnificent chapels and other surprising and informative sites will dominate a day or two of wandering around the island, and when you need a break, just stop at a festive restaurant or beach bar. Kick back with a cocktail and relish the fun that you're having or please your palate with a few new flavors. Vacationing is about relaxing, but it's also about expanding your mind, so be sure to save time for experiencing a few new things.

There are also activities that, while not exactly new or groundbreaking, at least offer their charms before a unique backdrop. Golfing in Aruba will involve the usual teeing off and perhaps a few minor frustrations with your game, but as you glance over at the turquoise waves or listen to the sound of the crashing surf, your tension will melt away. The same goes for your tennis game, and as you jog, bike, swim or whatever it is that keeps you in shape, you'll probably find yourself spacing out and feeling no pain thanks to the breathtaking beauty that surrounds you.

After your invigorating workout or your day out on the sea, nourish your weathered skin and tired tootsies by making an appointment at one of Aruba's many spas. This niche industry is all about taking care of tired tourists, and being on vacation is the perfect time to truly pamper yourself. From massages to pedicures, haircuts to facials, do something nice for body and emerge looking and feeling incredible.

To add one last touch to your Aruba holiday, consider staying in a vacation rental instead of a hotel. A few special amenities like washer and dryer, internet access, cooking utensils and a stereo system will all make you feel right at home. Don't think it'll be just like your regular digs, though, unless you always have access to the beach from your back door, watch the stars from your wraparound patio, and end each day with a luxurious soak in your hot tub.

If a jaunt to Aruba sounds like it could work for you (why wouldn't it, really?) then start planning your trip today. The sooner you begin the process, the sooner you'll be sitting pretty on the beach or on the deck of your Aruba Vacation Rental, so make this a priority and set yourself up for success in the south Caribbean.

Best Beach Vacations
I was so sad to not see Shoal Bay on the list of these best beaches.

Anguilla is by far the best Caribbean island. I read this post here and couldn't agree more...

http://www.anguilla-beaches.com/caribbean-islands.html

It's all true!...

Low crime, friendly people, no chain restaurants/no cruise ships. It's calm.

The only thing this poster left out is the color of the sea... I have never seen the water shine such a special shade of blue anywhere else in the entire Caribbean. My husband and I have traveled to St. Barts, Cayman Islands, St. Lucia, Grenada, you name it, nothing beats Shoal Bay!

primo vacation holidays
One of the exciting features of Primo Vacations is the Hot Weeks, which is key destinations that are offered at hugely reduced wholesale value, generally at short notice resorts, that you can choose just want to get away from it all for a week or two and not compromise on quality or your budget.
